August 2001. She grew up in Scranton, Pennsylvania, where her family still
resides. Courtney is a graduate of St. Bonaventure University where she
studied Biology and Theology. From 1999-2001, Courtney spent her days
doing full-time ministry in a soup kitchen in inner-city Philadelphia.
In May 2008, Courtney earned her MA in Franciscan Studies from St. Bonaventure
